Why we are moving?
You asked for more organic traffic, which meetup.com can enable.
We also want to provide you with more control and ease when creating and managing groups while gaining better organic reach for new participants.

Curating Country/ Region based groups rather than city-based.

Why? Insights from our recent mutual meetings: you prefer to keep hosting online & hybrid events, and your audience is variable and global. Meaning the group’s location is losing its meaning (at least for now).

In addition, country/ region groups will gain more members that will be able to attend more events based on topic, time of day, etc. More organizers will make it easier to engage members, and you won’t have to spend as much time bringing people in.

Each meetup organizer/team will have the option of hosting a virtual or in-person event, but it will also allow you to collaborate more naturally.

Timeline

Actions to Take (until January 10th)

  1. Reach out to Tali or Angel via Slack or email to create a new meetup group on meetup.com.
  2. Join your new group on meetup.com and make sure you are being appointed as a co-organizer.
  3. Setup the group settings: Welcome message for new members, group description, group topics, and entry questions. See help article here & a 5 minutes video tutorial here
  4. Set up your first event. See help article here
  5. Send a newsletter to your group members on Bevy to invite them to join your new group on meetup.com.
  6. See the proposed text for the email below.

The Winners will be announced on the Facebook challenge post and the Community Hub challenge post by December 8th, 2021, at 6 PM IL time.

For the avoidance of doubt, only Three of all the Participants will be selected by Elementor and will be considered as Winners. The Winners will be determined and ranked based on the quality of their design, their thought process and ideas, and the overall execution of the challenge’s task as determined by the Elementor experts’ team.

The Winner will win one prize based on their rank (the “Prize”).

Participants in the Experts Challenge are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • By participating in the Experts Challenge, you specifically grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and display your Content and any name in connection with your Content in all media formats and all Elementor channels.
  • The First Winner gives his/her consent to participate in an interview on the Elementor podcast.
  • By participating in the Experts Challenge, the Participants recognize that we may publish their full name and image, in case they win, for the sake of transparency.
  • The Expert’s Challenge is subject to termination at any time at our sole discretion without notice, either in whole or in part, or to modify it in its course if it is caused by a technical error.
  • The coupons will be valid for 12 months only.
  • The Winner will be responsible for the full price of the upgraded plan when the 12 months expire, and the renewal date arrives.
  • The coupons are subject to termination at any time at our sole discretion without notice.
  •  Elementor may refuse to provide the coupons for a specific Winner.
  • The coupons may apply ONLY ONCE to each Winner.
  • The Coupons are personal and non-transferable, except the third place’s Coupon.
  • Any misuse or abuse or suspected fraudulent activity related to the Experts Challenge might result in withdrawal or denial of the Prize.
  • The Participant shall indemnify Elementor in case of any third-party claims of any kind whatsoever resulting from any unlawful actions that the Participant has made.
  • By participating in the Experts Challenge, the Participant grants their consent to store, process, and use the information provided for Elementor’s internal purposes. We will not transfer the Participant’s information to any third party except with the Participant’s express consent, or for the purpose of sending a Swag box.
  • Elementor shall have the full right, by its sole discretion, to decide whether the Swag box can or cannot be delivered to the Winner’s residence.
  • When participating in the Experts Challenge, the Participant agrees to be signed up for our newsletter and receive promotional offers from us.
  • By participating in the Experts Challenge, the Participant releases Elementor from any liability.
  • The Winners agree to provide their personal details for the purpose of receiving the Prize from us.

Before announcing an in-person event, please review these guidelines and follow the steps below to determine if it’s safe to host an in-person event in your city.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), we are doing everything we can to protect you and our community. These guidelines provide recommended preventive measures for our meetups worldwide during Covid-19.

Please follow these steps:

First step

Please review the current local health regulation in your city/region and fill out the “Local COVID-19 status” form at least 3 weeks before the event.

After submitting the form, please DM Tali on Slack or via email.

Second step

1) Event page description

As the local meetup organizer, it’s your responsibility to share the local health guidelines with the attendees before the event. Please include local health guidelines for gatherings in the event description.

The meetup event will be conducted according to your country’s local health guidelines:

  • Social distancing
  • Limitation on number of individuals during social gatherings
  • Face cover (mask)
  • Sharing communal food and beverage

The following are situations in which community members cannot attend in-person events:
Please share this on the event description.

  • You are not allowed to participate in the meetup if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are showing COVID-19 symptoms until you have tested negative at least twice before the meetup.
  • You are not allowed to participate in the meetup if you have had close contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 7 days.

2) Event registration form

Please add this as a Checkbox type question, on the event pre-form:

By participating in this event I understand the risk inherent in exposure to all risks, including the risks associated with COVID-19. As a participant, I take full responsibility for implementing local health authority guidelines.

Use Checkbox filed type for this answer: I agree

Make the question “Required” to be answered.

Resources

Please note that you will need to verify if there was a change in the local health regulation in your city a day before the event, and follow accordingly.

Stay Safe and Healthy!
